Reading

We believe that the development of essential reading skills are critical to the success of all students. Our goals are to increase the reading skills of all students to structure activities. Through the use of Stepping Stones to Literacy, students learn foundational skills for reading fluency, develop a framework for reading, comprehension is established, build basic phonemic awareness skills through listening, letter naming, phonological awareness, and serial processing. Additionally, students will be provided with small group or individual student instruction and provide below benchmark readers with strategies for improvement.
